Each kit is made for success. The areas are clearly marked and numbered so that you just match the paint with the number. Start at 1 or your favorite color...no rules. Layer the paint for a little bit of depth. Beautiful success in a tube.... have fun and likely you will want more than one.
The painting in coming out wonderfully. I like the color you have chosen for the numbers on the painting and the outlines of each shape. They are easier to cover than the traditional color blue used for the numbers and outlines by others. . Some of the shapes in the paintings remind me of a Picasso shape that he would use in one of his portrait paintings. Other shapes remind me of calligraphy strokes. Or the pen strokes needed to communicate in some languages that don't use the Roman alphabet. i would recommend that the printing used for the numbers on the tops of your paint containers be adjusted so that they don't rub off at all. . Making stickers, as a suggestion, with the numbers printed on them could be consisdered.I have used a Sharpie to write the numbers on the top of each little container and that helped a lot.
You are a great company. The product you sell is the best I have seen. I have two of the PinkPicasso paint by number kits-paintings framed and matted and they look so wonderful that when I look at them from across the room I I say - I can't believe I did those. I didn't design the picture or choose the colours you have done that for me and I thank you for all that. If you hadn't done all the prep work to bring these paint by number kits to life --- we wouldn't have this very relaxing - almost spiritual - hobby choice. .But I can sit down and make this painting my own.and relax - brreathe in - breathe out (a few times) - make sure I have all my tools and water and favorite brushes - we all favorite brushes. just enjoy the creation - being a kind of co-creator with all the other creators of the paitning I am creating: Enjoying all the while: the colours, the viscosity of the paint, the colors and all the different shades of one colorr: lots of greens for the foliage, the brushes, the canvas, the flow of the painting from the top left hand corner across the canvas - colours just pouring out little by little and Iu get to see what I am creating day by day. Somedays it feels like magic. You put a little paint here and a little paint there and you turn your brush this way and you...have this beautiful object on canvas that I painted.... The process is what is enjoyable about this wonderfull hobby.. And I am the painter who is bringing this particular mass produced picture to life as my own. I am the one who has applied all the paint. I have stirred the paint with a toothpick when necessary. Another person can do the same painting as the one that I am doing...but the one I did is the one I did. Those are my colors and movements and choice. I sometimes add a colour different from the color guide from the kit. It helps make the picture really my own. I don't do it often but once in a while. The feathering of the colors where they meet adds a quality to the painting that is undeniable. thank you for all you for those of us who just love the process of painting. The movment of the brush. The use of paint as a medium. And just the application of the paint is enjoyable. And you get up to get something and you come back and look at what you've done and it's gratifying.
When people say "Oh I don't have the patience to do one of those" I say...you don't do it at one sitting. It might take you several months. Do a little or a lot depending on how you are feeling. at that paritcular time. but sit down and relax - breathe quietly and slowly and deeply for 30 seconds and then paint..I have to commit to painting every day.
It is a bit of a discipline. You have to discipline yourself to paint each day.
Your skill will develop. Watch some paint-by-number videos with tips and techniques. I will give you an idea of what it all invovles. Then maybe you can decide. Get a simple picture for your first if you want. Or not.
